JEAN PAUL'S WINS BRONZE at AUSTRALIAN SMALL WINE MAKERS SHOW in Queensland
At the 2006 Small Wine Makers Show in Queensland, JeanPaul's Vineyard has been awarded a bronze Medal in class 62 for the 2004 Shiraz
If you happen to be around the small town of Yea in Victoria drop in to one of the following and try some of our wine. Marmalades, The Country Club Hotel (the food is also great.)
We produce small parcels of minimally irrigated fruit from our 6 acre vineyard, to bring to you some very special wines that have been made in as pure and natural away as possible. With slow ripening we are able to enhance the natural fruit flavours and the natural soft tannins, making real wine from real fruit with age old wine making practices.
They have not been fined, as we prefer to allow our wines to settle in the barrels, racking at least twice during the aging process. Once bottled, and prior to being released, the wine spends further time resting in the cellar.
2005 Vintage
The wines now available are from our 2004 and 2005 vintages, they are Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, and both are truly great hand crafted wines.
2005 has an alcohol content of 14.5% for the Shiraz and 13.0% for the Cabernet and have spent 24 months in French and American oak barrels.
They contain low amounts of 220 (Sulphur), tested on month after bottling they recorded less than 50 ppm of sulpher.
2004 Vintage
2004 has an alcohol content of 12.8% and have spent 18 months in new French and American oak barrels.
They contain low amounts of 220 (Sulphur), as they have had no preservative added at bottling.
Below is a recent review of our 2004 Shiraz please take the time to read it. We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we enjoyed bringing them to you.

A recent review done on our 2004 Shiraz by renowned wine critic and writer Martin Field:
Jean-Paul’s Shiraz 2004 - cellar door- Rating: \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/
Yea, Victoria
Certified organic production, low preservatives. Deep crimson to purple. Inviting fragrance of blackberry and mint. Beautifully constructed, youthful, berry-packed wine. Spicy fruit, oak, and integrated tannins interact harmoniously leaving an impression of a superb, artisan-crafted, modern era red. Truly delicious.
